?kochaspid indet.

Name: ?kochaspid indet.
Locality: Pend Oreille County, Washington
Stratigraphy: Middle Cambrian, Metaline Limestone
Remarks: Photo courtesy David Morgan

This new unidentified kochaspid was first found by David Morgan's son, Sterling, in the Metaline Fm. of Washington State. Sterling is a really great trilobite hunter and has been known to spot complete trilobites from the window of a moving truck. The new kochaspid has 31-32 segments and its presence may indicate that the Metaline Fm. is slightly older than thought. It may constrain the unit to the lowermost Middle Cambrian Delamaran Stage.

A second specimen was found by Deborah Morgan and prepped by Dave Comfort.
